One of the Larsen Men traditions is to attend the annual Las Vegas car show together. Luckily all our son's wives are good sports and are willing to join in. This year we thought it was time to begin indoctrinating Taylor and Bennett who have not had the opportunity to come with us. We figured if we fed them enough junk food and video games along the way, they'd have a good time.....and they did......eat junk food, play video games and had a good time! Here we are watching the races.
Speaking of junk food ...... in case Scott & Tiera were under the impression that we would maintain any restrictions over junk food, they were wrong! Here we are at one of our meals, and since we ate at buffets most of the time, this is what Taylor and Bennett chose for every breakfast! (Who was the brilliant person who said that given a choice kids will pick what's good for them!!!)
Other than the races, we look at all the fun cars other than the race cars, some of us feel the need to look under the cars, and some of us just try to stay warm, and sometimes a little nap is in order.
When Sawyer complained that the races were too loud, even when he was wearing ear plugs, we brought out the heavy duty models. Bear, Taylor and Bennett weren't too concerned.
After being at the car show all day, there was still plenty of energy for arcade games in the evening.
We think they had a good time!
Here's our group.
P.S. I thought this was funny......two types of transportation, one slow and one fast!
Ahh....I just thought of this caption:
"It doesn't matter how fast you are going if you are headed in the wrong direction"
Looks like a blast! I love Jaron's fitting stache. That last photo is contest ready.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great family tradition. It is great that you can involve another generation. It looks like great bonding time.
ReplyDeleteJohn and I think Taylor and Bennett had the right idea on breakfast food. That bacon looks amazingly good. Miss it here in Israel! Great fun for all.
ReplyDeleteHa, ha. That is a great caption.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like every boys dream trip.
