St. George Temple at Christmas
What a different experience it is to walk on the temple grounds at Christmas in St. George. There were very few people to get in the way of my picture taking. Actually it was kind of sad that more people were not enjoying the beautiful grounds and nativity. Several days later we walked through Temple Square in SLC on our way to the Christmas Concert. I don't think I have ever seen so many people there! Walking on the pathways was like being in a human river, it was total pedestrian gridlock. I couldn't have stopped to take a picture even if I had wanted to! It was wonderful to have so many people visiting Temple Square, but it certainly wasn't a time or place for quiet reflection. (These are two photos I used in a photography class to show the difference between shooting outdoor Christmas lights at twilight and after dark.)

Thanksgiving
We had a fun Thanksgiving weekend. Jaron and Michelle came to visit. It was so nice to have them with us. Wednesday evening we had our annual 'Girl's Night Out' at the Cheesecake Factory, where we threw caution to the wind and ate a week's worth of calories at one meal! Of course we were having so much fun that no one remembered to take photos! Thanksgiving Day morning was the annual 'Guy's Day Out', where they indulge their redneck tendencies, pack up their guns, ammo, targets, etc., and head to the hills to blow stuff up! Then late afternoon we all gathered at Scott and Tiera's house for feasting and fun. Here are some of the very few photos I took:
Sawyer wanted the leg...I think he got more than he bargained for!
Taylor was a good sport wearing a kid's pilgrim hat.
Michelle's sister joined us. We missed Emily A. who was visiting her parents.
The 'boys' decided to have a beard growing contest that started a few weeks earlier. I think they are handsome even when their faces are covered with hair! I was shocked to see a few gray hairs here and there! They can't be that old!
Evelyn wasn't impressed that she had a pink bow on her pilgrim hat & Crew is not too sure about his fashion statement.
"Hey, do we know each other?"
It is scary that Crew actually knows how to play a game on Grandpa's phone!
Evelyn is learning fast!
